Bruno Mars admitted being reluctant in changing plans in a newly released statement after his Toronto show faced a major setback.

The 40-year-old singer’s performance was re-scheduled to May 31, 2026 due to “inclement weather,” disheartening fans.

However, the Locked out of Heaven singer revealed that he “never” wanted this “but I need everyone to be safe.”

Bruno ensured everyone’s safety in order “to have a good time,” promising to “make it up to you” on the 31st with his performance. He ended the note with “I promise.”

A statement was released by Rogers Stadium to announce the change in plans at the 11th hour. It was declared that everyone’s “safety” is top priority.

Meanwhile, fans remain divided at the situation with one X user calling him “soft” for calling of the show due to “occasional rain and drizzle.”

Another netizen slammed the announcement, writing on the platform: “People spend thousands to book hotels, flights for a rain or shine event,” comparing him to Chris Brown for putting up a show.

Someone pointed out that the explanation doesn’t add up as it was “an indoor venue.”

Is Bruno Mars on tour?

Bruno is currently on his global The Romantic Tour to support his newly released studio album which came out on February 27, 2026 after a decade hiatus.
