Taylor Swift on why she skipped 2020 AMAs

Taylor Swift expressed how happy she felt after winning Artist of the Year awards and also revealed the reason behind missing American Music Awards this year.

Taylor won this awards for the third time, unfortunately she was not able to receive it and she had a good reason for skipping.

On the night of AMAs, the artist was rerecording her album which Big Machine Label Group has sold to Scooter Braun in 2019.

"Thank you so much for this. This is a fan-voted award, which means so much to me. You guys have been beyond wonderful all the years of my career, but especially this one, when we've been so far apart, we haven't been able to see each other in concert, but I still feel really connected to you through the music," Taylor wrote.

"Your reaction to Folklore and all the ways in which your imagination honored that album, I just love you so much and am really, really lucky because of you,” she shared.

“The reason I'm not there tonight is I'm actually re-recording of all my old music, in the studio where we originally recorded it so it's been amazing, and I can't wait for you to hear it. Have a great night. I love you so much,” Swift added.

Moreover, it’s unclear when the singer will release her rerecorded album.
