John Krasinski and Emily Blunt may be two of the busiest stars in showbiz, but behind the red carpets and blockbuster films, their real focus is much closer to home.
The loved-up pair, who tied the knot back in 2010, have revealed that no matter how packed their schedules become, daughters Hazel, 11, and Violet, nine, always come first.
Speaking during an appearance on CBS Mornings, the 46-year-old-actor admitted the couple have worked hard to make sure one parent is always around for the girls, even while juggling massive Hollywood projects.
He explained, “Honestly, the simple answer is kids and family first. We always have done a good job of doing one movie and then the next one.
So one of us is always home with the kids.”
And when work takes them across the globe, the family simply packs up together.
From New York film sets to London shoots for Jack Ryan and A Quiet Place, the couple turn every production into what John jokingly called “a family circus”.
But despite John’s own huge success, he confessed his daughters are far more dazzled by Emily’s screen roles than his.
The Office actor laughed that his children probably thought he was “an accountant” before he brought them into the making of his fantasy film IF.
Meanwhile, the 43-year-old actress already had a head start in the cool-parent department thanks to starring roles in family favourites like Mary Poppins Returns and Jungle Cruise.
John also shared that IF was inspired by watching his children disappear into their own imaginative worlds.
