The critically acclaimed crooner of The Art of Loving, Olivia Dean candidly shared that her friends keep her grounded.
This follows a hectic 12 months that saw her win a Grammy Award and four BRIT Awards.
The 27-year-old singer disclosed to ELLE magazine that her life can be very extreme.
The British singer-songwriter switches between the lapses of high glamour and some form of "preposterousness" in the music business.
"My life can feel quite extreme sometimes, because I'm in these moments of high glamour and kind of preposterousness."
Dean explains that she can see how people can get really lost and confused within this industry. Marking that "You have to be quite mentally strong."
During the Grammys, Dean gave a strong acceptance speech where she described herself as the granddaughter of an immigrant and a product of bravery.
In an honest disclosure, she discussed her grandmother with her mother and aunt who had relocated to the UK during their teen years.
The singer of the Man I Need also admitted that she removed her social media applications after the Grammys and decided to "live in sweet ignorance."
"Even though the love has been overwhelming, even that is not healthy sometimes," she explained.
She went on to note, "I don't think you're supposed to know everyone's opinion about you. And I've decided I want to live in sweet ignorance."
