Jamie Lee Curtis shared her experience of becoming a grandmother as early as in December.

This was just one week after the death of her close friend couple, Rob and Michele Reiner.

The 67-year-old actress revealed to Michelle Obama on her IMO podcast that her eldest daughter Annie Guest and her husband Jason Wolf had their first son in a very difficult period of the family life.

Rob and Michele Reiner were the godparents of Annie. Notably, Nick, their son has been accused of their murders.

"I never thought in my wildest dreams I would be a grandma," said Curtis, and burst into tears.

"Their baby boy was born in December. And it was a week after Rob and Michele [died]. And they died on her birthday."

She explained how strong her daughter was in the tragedy, "My beautiful daughter, who loved them, as we all did, managed to be able to metabolize that grief and sadness."

"And then my daughter and her husband brought their son to this world a week later," said Curtis.

Moreover, she noted, "Life on life's harshest terms and life on life's most beautiful terms."

Curtis stated that she had obtained the consent of Annie to publicly disclose the news first on the podcast by Obama.

"My daughter Annie said, 'Tell her I love her. Because she's a G,'" Curtis remembered.

"So it's really thrilling to me that the first time I'm going to say to the universe that I became a granny is here with you."
