Avatar: Fire and Ash, which was the franchise’s latest project with not so satisfying results, sparked major concern among fans about the upcoming installment.
The massive fan following of the movies was worried if James Cameron’s Avatar movies “four and five” would be hitting the cinemas or not.
Clearing the concerns of the supporters, one of the producers of the film, Rae Sanchini, stepped up and gave a statement in the interview with Inverse that made the fans happy.
She said, “Right now we’re figuring out the schedule. We’re working hard on it right now, budgeting, scheduling, planning, building out our new pipeline for them,”
She added, “As far as we’re concerned, we’re full speed ahead.”
This comes after James gushed to a Taiwanese outlet, TVBS News, that the third project cost a lot of money, and in order for them to continue the work, the movies should do well.
Although the film holds the title of 3rd highest-grossing film of the year, it didn’t perform well at the box office.
Notably, the Final /Current Global Total for 2009’s Avatar, 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water, and 2025’s Avatar: Fire and Ash were $2.924 Billion, $2.320 Billion, and $1.486 Billion, respectively.
