Fans of action legend Chuck Norris have been warned to steer clear of misleading AI-generated videos spreading false claims about the late star.
The martial arts icon, best known for Walker, Texas Ranger, passed away on March 19th aged 86.
Since then, a number of clips and posts have surfaced online, falsely suggesting details about his health, family relationships, and the circumstances surrounding his death.
In a heartfelt statement on Chuck’s official Instagram account, his family urged supporters not to believe “fabricated reports of past medical issues” or “false narratives surrounding family relationships.”
They wrote: “We are aware that since Chuck’s passing, there have been a number of AI-generated videos and posts circulating online that contain false and misleading information regarding the circumstances of his passing, his health history, and who was present. These claims are entirely untrue.”
The family stressed that fans should only trust information released directly by them or an official family representative, adding: “We kindly ask that you do not believe or share any information unless it comes directly from the Norris family or an official family representative.
Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.”
Chuck’s passing was confirmed last month on the same Instagram page, with his relatives describing him as a “devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.”
They paid tribute to his legendary career, noting his “unwavering commitment to the people he loved” and the “lasting impact on so many lives” he left behind.
While fans mourn worldwide, the Norris family asked for privacy as they continue to grieve their beloved patriarch.
