Supermodel Erin O’Connor has revealed she’s found love again with brand designer Alexander Chappell.
The 48-year-old, who split from long-term partner Steve Gibson in 2023, shares two sons with him, Albert, 11, and Eddie, seven.
Erin admitted she struggled in the aftermath of the split and didn’t rush into romance.
“I knew I needed time to get to grips with myself, and that's quite scary because you don't know how long that's going to take,” she told Grazia.
“I wasn't even flirting. I didn’t know how to date any more.”
But love has finally returned, albeit with a slightly awkward start.
“I shook his hand,” she confessed, laughing at how out of practice she was with dating.
Things quickly changed, however, and she described being with Alexander as “the best feeling in the world.”
“I’ve met someone kind. It’s so lovely to be with someone who understands. It feels positive. Really positive,” she added.
Not much is known about Alexander, aside from Erin’s past high-profile relationships with Steve, presenter Jamie Theakston, and links to comedian David Walliams.
Erin also spoke candidly about her past struggles with mental health.
Diagnosed with PTSD, she revealed the harsh scrutiny over her slender figure in the 90s had a “devastating impact” on her wellbeing.
“I did a lot of crying and soul‑searching because I was publicly used as a means of getting news and shocking headlines,” she said.
The West Midlands native, first spotted on a school trip to the Birmingham Clothes Show, stressed the importance of self-acceptance.
After years of heartache and public pressure, she appears to have finally found her happy ending.
