Fans split over whispers that Jessie Buckley might take on James Bond, after a rush of claims hit the social media. 

Some think it’s real, while some disagree and others just playing along to shoot it down as a joke timed too perfectly with April’s first day.

The conversation started this week when websites posted guesses about the Irish actress stepping into the legendary 007 part. 

Fast as wind, chatter exploded online, people guessed on if the series might now pivot hard left from its old path.

Questions popped up fast as details started spreading, April Fools’ Day hovered close by, making some wonder if someone just meant it as a joke that got out of hand. 

A few outlets treated the brief like real talk inside the business world, however, a few called it fake outright, marking it as never serious to begin with.

Fashion rumours swirl around Buckley, though nothing's set in stone just yet. Still, people won’t stop talking about it anytime soon.

The 36-year-old recently won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film Hamnet.
