Josie Gibson, English TV personality might step into the spotlight on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Talks have quietly started, placing her name at the front line as she could be the first confirmed face for the season ahead.

Now hosting This Morning, she first became known through Big Brother, reportedly underway with BBC production teams before the show comes back this September, as per The Sun.

A close confidant said that BBC spent years trying to bring Gibson on board, ever since missing out her signing, ITV rival I'm A Celebrity.

"Josie has been on the BBC's radar for a while and they've not given up their pursuit," the source said.

They went on to reveal, "They're hoping this year is the year, and talks are progressing well."

Producers are reportedly convinced that Gibson's down-to-earth charm will be a hit for viewers.

"Warm and engaging, she's just what they require right now and will be a sure-fire hit with fans," the insider added.

The new season is expecting that the viewers will spot changes in how the show runs, after some familiar dance pros left.

Notably, big chairs are shifting too, Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly won’t be fronting things much longer.

The BBC quietly moves ahead, lining up fresh names for the hosting spots once held by TV staples.

Gibson keeps turning heads with how much thinner she looks lately, earlier in the past twelve months, she shared news of losing fifty-seven pounds.

It is north noting that reports about her joining the show remain unaddressed by either her team or the network.
