Bruce Springsteen is keeping his word after saying that his 2026 Land of Hope and Dreams with the E Street Band would be political and is maintaining and reinforcing his stance against Donald Trump and his administration.

The singer, fondly called ‘the Boss’ kicked off the tour in Minneapolis, which had made global news after ICE agents killed two U.S. citizens.

During the concert, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer said “You want to talk about snowflakes? We have a president who can’t handle the truth. This is happening now,” referring to Trump.

Springsteen also targeted his administration, stating, “Our Justice Department has completely abdicated its independence, and our Attorney General Pam Bondi takes her marching orders straight from a corrupt White House.”

“She prosecutes our president’s perceived enemies, covers up for his misdeeds, and protects his powerful friends,” he added.

The songwriter had also re-iterated some of his remarks made at a No Kings rally, and even mentioned the individuals whose lives are at risk in an unconstitutional and illegal war, likely referring to the geopolitical tensions between the U.S. and Iran.

Notably, Springsteen also seemed moved by the Minneapolis audience he was powering up because he revealed near the end that the tour was not planned but that he needed to feel the people’s hope and strength.
