Demi Lovato, who shares a living with her husband, Jordan Jutes Lutes, together dream up ways to stay calm under one roof.

American singer and songwriter have an unusual strategy to keep home at peace with a fictional character name Luigi.

On Monday, the 33-year-old star appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show disclosed how the duo cope with conflicting domestic environment.

The Give Your Heart a Break crooner noted the one habit to mention Luigi for whatever not done from the chores as a made-up scapegoat.

"If Luigi didn't take out the trash, I gently nudge my husband and say, 'Babe, Luigi didn't take out the trash. What are we gonna do about that?'" Lovato marked.

Moreover, she shared his reply, "And he was like, 'Oh, you know what? Darn, Luigi! Let me get on that.'"

The Heart Attack artist explained that the act is a "gentle" way to make requests instead of starting blaming or making other conscious of it.

"It takes the blame out of coming to someone with blame or an attack," she went on note.

For the unversed, the pair got married last May, and got this idea from Instagram post, however, "learning how to communicate with one another" came naturally.

This was as a result of the star being through toxic stuff in the past that she "don't want or need anymore."

"This is my forever relationship, and I want to treat that with as much grace and compassion as possible."

Notably, the couple will mark her their first wedding anniversary on May 25.
