Jame Blake has recently made shocking decision after the release of Kanye West’s new album, Bully.
The English record producer reportedly requested Kanye, also known as Ye, to remove his name from the production credits on his latest album.
Sharing real reason behind his decision, James admitted that he found the spirit of his original work “mostly absent” in the song.
“The way I pitched his vocals and construed the track from his freestyle is partially there, majorly peppered with other newer vocal takes etc,” wrote the 37-year-old on Vault, his streaming platform.
However, James noted that the “spirit of my actual production is mostly absent other than that”.
“Happy for the fans but I’ve asked to be taken off the producer credits for now as I don’t want to take credit for other people’s work and this version isn’t what I created with Ye,” explained the Hummingbird star.
James further said that it’s “not personal,” while addressing his fans online.
“I just hit a point where I don’t want to be credited on music where I can’t affect the end result,” added the record producer.
Meanwhile, James and Kanye had previously worked together on many projects since 2014.
They reportedly worked on a joint project called WAR in 2022, but so far, no song has been officially released.
