Rachel Zegler has fans buzzing over an ‘unnamed’ musical movie

Rachel Zegler has teased an upcoming project after appearing in the heavily scrutinised Snow White, dishing that her next project is also a musical one.

The actress has revealed that she has two exciting projects lined up, including one comedy movie but the latter has really caught internet users’ eye.

In an interview with The Standard, the 24-year-old stated, “I’m really excited about it and I wish I could tell you what it is because I’m working with some f***ing amazing people on it. But I can’t.”

Rachel’s comment has caused a lot of speculation online regarding the musical, with netizens being split between two main adaptations of classics.

One internet users took to X to write, “Ok spring awakening movie!!” as another said, “It better be Phantom of the Opera by Guillermo Del Toro.”

A third speculated, “I thought it was common knowledge she's doing Spring Awakening??” as a fourth commented, “It better be phantom of the opera with these two as leads,” with an image of Rachel and Jonathan Bailey.

Notably, others wondered if it would be something else like Heathers, but the majority seems to be leaning towards The Phantom of the Opera.
