Rachel Zegler hints at future move into television alongside stage performances
During her recent candid chat, the West Side Story star told the host how much she is eager to pursue more performances in Shakespeare inspired plays.
In an interview with The Standard, she stated, "I'd love to do a female Hamlet. I think that'd be so fun. Well, not 'fun,' really, but you know."
Meanwhile, she would not be the first, as gender reimagined adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays have appeared on numerous occasions, such as a well received 2020 Dublin production starring Ruth Negga as the lead.
Additionally, the star briefly spoke about an unrevealed project, describing it as a musical she is very excited about, while noting she cannot share further details despite working with an impressive team.
Notably, her latest appearance was in Disney’s Snow White, where she played the title role, (released March 21, 2025) had a weak box office run, with worldwide earnings estimated between $205.7 million and $225 million, while the budget reportedly topped $250 million.
She has also been involved in Y2K (2024) and Spellbound, and is set to star next in She Gets It From Me.
