Charlie Puth has made a shocking confession that everyday noise can leave him physically ill.

The 34-year-old chart-topper has revealed that his extreme sensitivity to sound can push him into an “agonising” state.

He admitted that certain noises don’t just irritate him but they make him feel sick to his stomach.

Speaking on The Person Who Believed in Me, the Changes hitmaker explained that while most people hear the world at a normal level, he experiences it at double intensity.

From splashing pools to loud laughter and even blaring air horns, Charlie says it all becomes overwhelming. 

To cope, he even wears a nausea patch, revealing that when sounds feel wrong, the discomfort “goes straight to his gut”.

The Attention star also admitted his condition affects his daily life in unexpected ways. 

Before entering busy hotels or crowded spaces, he sometimes circles the block, waiting for a quieter moment to slip inside unnoticed.

But amid the struggle, there’s a silver lining.

We Don't Talk Anymore singer credits music, and his wife Brooke Sansone as his ultimate comfort. 

The couple, who tied the knot in 2024, recently welcomed their baby son Jude, bringing joy to the singer’s life.

Fighting back tears, the Grammy nominee confessed that music is often the only thing that calms him when everything else feels too loud.

Despite global fame, the Marvin Gaye singer also revealed he spent years battling fear and insecurity, admitting it took him until 18 to sing in front of others.
