Mel B has destroyed the dreams of fans regarding the Spice Girls reunion tour, saying that the 30th anniversary celebration has been cancelled.
The announcement was one week following the publication by The Sun that the girl group "failed to reach an agreement."
Moreover, the "plans for a comeback tour in 2026 have been ditched" 30 years after their first single debuted, Wannabe.
The 50-year-old told PageSix that she is always the one who says, "I'm always the one going: 'Yes, we're going on tour.'"
The I Want You Back crooner shut down the rumours, "I would love to go on tour. I would love to do music, but it isn't happening."
Mel B had already been optimistic of celebrating the milestone and to tour, "I'm always optimistic."
In January she said that it was 30 years and we had to do something to celebrate the fact this year.
However, she admitted that there is an element of pressure in the group regarding getting it right.
She noted, "I wouldn’t be sitting here if it weren’t for my other four girls, if I weren’t a part of that kind of girl power crazy roller coaster ride."
To the uninformed, Spice Girls last acted as a five-piece band at the official closing of the 2012 Olympics in London.
Their tour went on in 2019 without Victoria Beckham, who decided to spend some time with her family and fashion business.
In September, 2025, Victoria gave a tease to Oasis fans when she shared an Oasis reunion video with the wording of "Tempting" she tagged her former band-mates.
