While acknowledging that Stewart can be “demanding,” Lancaster said their relationship works because the attention and care they give each other is mutual.

Moreover, this balance, she suggested, has helped sustain their marriage through the years.

The couple first met in 1999 and married in 2007, going on to build a blended family with their children.
