CNN anchor Rachel Solomon disclosed that she's parting ways from the network after sharing a four-year tenure.

The American television journalist revealed a personal update during Early Start on Monday, March 23, “I have decided that this will be my last week at CNN.”

The 46-year-old is planning something big as she noted that more details about her next steps would come later.

“It has been such an honor, truly, to serve as a business correspondent for CNN. I have covered everything from inflation to the job market and everything in between,” Solomon said during the broadcast.

The Sudan born presenter joined CNN in 2022 after working at CNBC at the front of CNN’s daily news cycle.

In the beginning, she studied finance at St. John’s University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree prior to her broadcast turnover.

Later, she received a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

Notably, she received Colorado Association of Black Journalists' Broadcast Journalist of the Year in 2015.

It is worth noting that she noted her departure was “not goodbye, but see you soon,” hinting an impending move.

The star will mark her last on air through Friday, March 27, Solomon anchored the network’s earliest hour of weekday programming.

In the statement, Solomon expressed gratitude and noted to be proud of working alongside her colleagues and the Early Start team and the broader CNN newsroom.
