Sarah Michelle Gellar recalls Jimmy Fallon’s goof-up on 'Tonight Show'

Sarah Michelle Gellar has finally shared her honest reaction to Jimmy Fallon’s goof-up on his show back in 2023.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum recently made an appearance as a guest on Jimmy’s Tonight Show where she recalled the time, she thought the host forgot her name.

Sarah came to the show as part of her new movie promotion, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, which is already running in theatres.

Before her interview, the Scooby-Doo actress took hilarious dig at Jimmy for knowing her name this time.

To this, the host said that the last time it was a “misunderstanding”.

Sarah reiterated his statement, saying, “Was it a misunderstanding?”

“Yes, it was,” replied Jimmy.

Then he played the old clip of the time when Sarah thought he didn’t know her name.

Interestingly, Sarah admitted that she does “hold onto things” at times.

In the clip, the actress was seen speaking about her and his children birthday, which fall on the same date.

At the time, Jimmy asked her daughter’s name and Sarah was confused, thinking that he’s asking her name.

Coming to the present show, Jimmy was surprised with the actress’ reaction in the clip.

So, Sarah clarified that they have known each other forever, but there are lot of people who may not remember her name, which is why “I do introduce myself” every time she meets anyone.

Meanwhile, Jimmy added that they have worked together in many projects so how come she came up with this assumption.

“I know that,” quipped Sarah.
