Savannah Guthrie shares first post since mother's disappearance

Savannah Guthrie made her first social media appearance in nearly three weeks as the search for her missing mother enters its seventh week.

The 54-year-old Today co-anchor shared a clip on her Instagram Stories on Friday highlighting World Down Syndrome Day.

The segment featured her co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Craig Melvin speaking with Tara, Guthrie's "best buddy" of about a decade through the nonprofit Best Buddies.

Tara also had a sign with the text that said "We love you Savannah" during the segment.

"We love this sign, because we know how much you love Savannah," Kotb marked.

Since her mother Nancy, 73, never returned home in her Tucson Arizona, disappearance on January 31, Guthrie has been off the air.

As per investigators she was abducted during the night, referring to the surveillance video of a masked man in front of her door.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos informed the NBC News on March 12 that the investigators feel they have the motive.

"We believe we know why [the kidnapper] did this and we believe that it was targeted," he noted.

The FBI had initially given out a reward of 100,000 dollars that could lead to the recovery of Nancy.

Guthrie and her family have since added an extra reward of 1 million dollars and gave $500,000 to the National Center of missing and exploited children.

In the final post she made on Instagram, on March 2, Guthrie said, "Please don't stop praying and hoping with us. Bring her home."
