Denise Richards gets candid about plastic surgery

Denise Richards has undergone complete facelift eight months ago and was even terrified of it.

The 55-year-old actress told Allure that she wanted to "put things back up, where they were before."

However, the decision was overwhelming simply because she was in the limelight since her 20s.

"I was terrified. Being in the public eye since my 20s, people know what I look like — a facelift is not something that I could hide," she said.

Richards, a star of The World Is Not Enough, reported that the surgery made her look ten years younger after she divorced antagonistic husband Aaron Phypers.

"It's night and day. It's given me a new lease of life. It's given me confidence," she described.

The ex-Real Housewife of Beverly Hills not only thought to maintain surgery as a secret at first, but also until her ex-husband brought it up.

She went on to recall, "Going through my divorce, my ex disclosed that I'd had a facelift,"

On one occasion, he had a photographer come to the exterior of an appointment during "where I had some microneedling on my scars."

She continued, "So [my ex] told someone that I had a facelift, and said it was botched, which is really ridiculous."

Richards indicated that she finally decided to speak out on the procedure as she believes there is nothing wrong with being open and honest.
