‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ cast pays tributes to Nicholas Brendon

Nicholas Brendon has passed away at 54 on Friday, and his death was announced by his family in a statement on social media after which tributes have poured in from his fellow actors.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor died of natural causes but had dealt with health issues in the past, also taking to social media the series co-stars are remembering the actor.

In a post, the now-deceased actor’s co-star Alyson Hannigan, who played Willow Rosenberg on the beloved series, took to Instagram to pen a sentimental note.

“My Sweet Nicky, thank you for years of laughter, love and Dodgers, I will think of you every time I see a rocking chair. I love you. RIP,[broken heart, teary eyes emoji]” she wrote with an image from the show.

Meanwhile Emma Caulfield, who played Brendon’s on-again, off-again love interest on the show, also took to the platform to state, “My heart is heavy. I can’t put into words just yet how this has hit me.”

Emma also added a clip of her and Nicholas from season 6’s musical episode, adding on the caption that she loves him.

Notably the Criminal Minds alum had been hospitalised in 2022 after suffering a cardiac incident and facing a diagnosis of a congenital heart defect.
