Scooby-Doo fans, rejoice as Netflix has just unmasked the stars of its upcoming live-action Scooby-Doo series, and the mystery gang has a brand-new look.

Tanner Hagen, Abby Ryder Fortson and Maxwell Jenkins are stepping into the beloved roles of Shaggy Rogers, Velma Dinkley and Fred Jones, joining Mckenna Grace, who was already confirmed as Daphne Blake.

The cast took to Instagram to share their excitement, and their love for classic Scooby slang.

Tanner gushed: “ZOINKS! Like… is this even life? So incredibly grateful to be stepping into the shoes of the iconic Shaggy Rogers. See you soon, gang!”

Mckenna quipped, “JEEPERSSSS I’m so excited! The start of the mystery gang,” while Abby wrote, “JINKIES!! Excited to go solve some mysteries with the gang! So honoured to be the next to wear that iconic turtleneck, See y’all soon!”

Maxwell added he was “so grateful for the opportunity.”

Netflix promises a “modern reimagining of the beloved franchise,” exploring how the teenage sleuths first teamed up.

The story kicks off with Shaggy and Daphne during their final summer at camp, as they unravel a chilling mystery involving a lonely Great Dane puppy who may have witnessed a supernatural murder.

Velma, the pragmatic brain, and Fred, the mysterious new kid, join forces with the pair to tackle secrets, scares and a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose them all.

The original Scooby-Doo cartoon premiered in 1969, spawning nearly 40 films and over a dozen animated series.

This marks the first live-action adaptation since 2004’s Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed

Matthew Lillard, who famously played Shaggy in the early 2000s films, praised the reboot but also called for a fresh animated series for today’s kids, highlighting the show’s timeless lessons about friendship, teamwork, and unraveling mysteries.
