Kid Rock has strongly responded to Conan O’ Brien’s diss at the 2026 Oscars on March 15.
The late-night host took jabs at Epstein files, Timothee Chalamet’s ballet and opera controversy as well as Rock’s alternate Super Bowl halftime show in his opening monologue on Sunday’s event.
Earlier, O’Brien jokingly said that today’s award ceremony could get “political”.
“And if that makes you uncomfortable, there’s an alternate Oscars being hosted by Kid Rock,” he quipped.
The late-night hosts added there were “lots of tickets” still available.
After the crowd enjoyed a few laughs at the event, Rock addressed the joke and hit out at the O’Brien on X, formerly Twitter.
“I love a good joke, even when I am the butt of it, unfortunately this was not a very good one,” wrote the 55-year-old.
Rock explained, “Either way, if you want to see a REAL good show this spring / summer that celebrates America and 250 years of Freedom – make sure you buy your tickets from (ugh) Ticketmaster for my Freedom 250 tour - The Road To Nashville. There is a reason for this, TRUST ME!,”
For those unversed, the late-night host mocked Rock’s All-American Halftime Show, which was headlined by Rock, in collaboration with Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, who officially headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show this year.
