The long-running legal dispute between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie over their shared French winery has escalated, as new details emerge surrounding the controversial sale of Jolie’s stake to a Russian oligarch.

At the center of the conflict is Château Miraval, the estate the former couple once co-owned. Pitt alleges that Jolie sold her share of the business in 2021 without his consent, breaching an earlier agreement between them.

The buyer was reportedly linked to a subsidiary of a drinks group controlled by Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler, a move Pitt has challenged in court.

According to legal filings, Pitt is seeking millions in damages, claiming the sale has harmed the winery’s operations and created management conflicts with the new stakeholders.

As per Daily Mail, his legal team has also accused Jolie of withholding key communications related to the transaction.

Jolie, however, has denied the allegations and pushed back with her own claims, arguing that no such agreement existed requiring mutual approval for the sale.

Moreover, she has also criticized Pitt’s legal actions, describing them as part of an ongoing dispute tied to their highly publicized divorce.

The dispute, which began after their 2016 separation, remains one of Hollywood’s most high-profile legal battles.
