Barry Keoghan has recently revealed his dream role and that’s not 007.
The Saltburn actor shares he doesn’t want to play the Bond role and the reason is that it’s “an iconic character and a lot of weight as well as pressure comes with that”.
Speaking to Radio Times, Barry says, “It's nice to see your name go up there, but I don't think I fit the criteria for James Bond.”
Irish actor adds, “I'd rather come in and do the villain. The man teasing Bond, that's more me.”
It is pertinent to note that Dune movie-maker Denis Villeneuve is on board as director for the next movie.
Meanwhile, the Peaky Blinders' Steven Knight writes the script of the upcoming 007 movie.
For those unversed, Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig were a few actors who played the Bond role.
In addition to Barry, other contenders that are up for the 007 role are Jacob Elordi, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill and Jack O'Connell.
