Reba McEntire and Rex Linn have got a wedding on hold that is under tension.
The fairy-tale romance of the veteran couple is stumbling on rough waters as the country icon got engaged on Christmas Eve 2024.
However, insiders tell Radar Online the couple has frozen all their wedding plans - and friends are wondering why.
They went on to explain referring to the 70-year-old, "Reba's excuse about work getting in the way makes zero sense"
Continuing, "It's a crazy U-turn, since she was so excited to become a bride and talking about nothing else over the holidays."
The insiders even said that McEntire offered to elope in case of too much schedule. But this time she is allegedly demanding a rain check altogether.
The friends assume that the problem is actually the past of the American singer and actress in relation to marriage.
"Once again, it seems Reba's commitment phobia has sunk in," the confidant close to the pair noted.
For the unversed, the I'm a Survivor crooner has been married to Charlie Battles (1976-1987) and Narvel Blackstock (1989-2015).
The 74-year-old "poor guy" Rex is left feeling confused and insecure after the long wait he had been enduring regarding the proposal the one that McEntire supposedly took a year to go public with.
The insider had warned, in the way things were going, Rex could easily choose to walk away.
