Timothée Chalamet’s Marty Supreme, the movie that has been garnering awards, recently faced a snub due to its hero’s controversial remarks.

The American-French actor’s words about ballet and opera have been following him like bad luck, which fans think is the reason for the recent snub.

The sports/drama movie was nominated at the Oscars, held in California on March 15, for at least nine categories, but none awards were taken home.

The online community thinks that this is happening due to the 30-year-old’s recent words about the old form of art.

Prior to this, the Interstellar star gushed that “no one cares about” the old art forms.

The internet was in uproar in no time, with celebrities also releasing their take on the controversial remarks.

It is to be noted that the movie was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Production Design,  Best Costume Design, and Best Casting.

Despite the numerous nominations, Timothée and his movie were completely shut out.
