Ryan Gosling made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend, popping up during Harry Styles’ performance.
The 45-year-old actor stepped onto the March 14 episode stage, wearing a white shirt and pants along with a plaid coat to introduce one of the host and musical guest’s performances.
He playfully asked whether if it was the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker and questioned what he was doing there.
“Well, I’m hosting next week and it’s been a while, so I just wanted to watch, get a feel for it,” the 32-year-old American Girls singer chimed in.
The actor introduced the songwriter's performance of Dance No More from his newly released album Kiss All the Time: Disco, Occasionally.
For the singer’s second performance that night, Paul Simon stepped in to introduce him before he sang Coming Up Roses, also from the album.
It is pertinent to mention, the moment flipped the roles in a fun way, because Harry had appeared in Ryan’s opening monologue just a week earlier when he hosted SNL.
Before appearing on SNL, Ryan was spotted in Mexico a day earlier at the Mexican premiere of his new film, Project Hail Mary.
Notably, the audience who missed the episode can still watch Harry’s opening monologue, where he addressed queerbaiting claims and kissed a male cast member.
