Mariah Carey finally reveals what she thinks about being nominated for the third time for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Friday.

The Obsessed singer mentions that it “felt great” to have been shortlisted for the third year in a row, but still hasn’t received it.

Mariah said that she deserves a position in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after third nomination.

Speaking to Billboard, the Fantasy singer stated, “It’s definitely an unchecked box.”

When asked why she should be included in the Hall of Fame, Mariah pointed out, “I would say they should check out the 19 [Billboard Hot 100] Number Ones… not everybody has those to their name.”

However, after nomination, the Hero singer added, “That was amazing. Just to feel that whole thing, I don’t even know how to express it.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Mariha told Variety that she’s recording new music and quite “excited” about it.

“I hope it will do well and people will like it,” she stated.
