Maisie Peters has candidly opened up about touring with a secret struggle.
During her latest chat, the 25-year-old songstress revealed, “I did the whole (The Good Witch) tour with these vocal polyps and was in vocal therapy for three months.”
Speaking to Cosmopolitan, she stated, “I couldn’t sing or drink or eat certain foods, and I never really shared anything publicly.”
She continued, “It was very stressful and anxiety-inducing – every day I was waking up and thinking, ‘I can’t sing. How can I play to 3,000 people tonight? I can’t hit my notes.' Also, ‘Will I ever get better? Will I ever sound the same?'”
However, she eventually bounced back and avoided surgery, but the challenge changed her approach.
It even led to her pulling out of Kelsea Ballerini’s North American tour in January 2025.
Moreover, she pointed out, “For years, I was saying yes to everything – every tour, every album, every meet and greet. It was my personality. But my body – even before my head – realised, ‘I can’t do it anymore.'”
Notably, Maisie has returned to performing with her Before The Bloom tour, which began in Sydney on 2 March.
