Sydney Sweeney reveals surprising truth behind 'Euphoria' role

Sydney Sweeney has revealed she “never felt confident” about her figure until landing her breakout role in HBO’s Euphoria.

The 28-year-old actress, who plays Cassie on the hit drama, admitted her teenage years were marked by self-consciousness. 

“I grew up with b**bs. I was wearing a 32DD in sixth grade, and I never felt confident,” she told Us Weekly. 

“I never had anything I felt good in, and I just wanted to hide. It wasn’t until Euphoria that I started realising it’s actually powerful to be confident.”

Sydney, known for her roles in The Housemaid and Euphoria, says the experience helped her embrace her body and inspired her to launch her own lingerie brand, Syrn. 

Struggling to find underwear that supported her curvy frame, she decided to design pieces herself. 

The Christy actress also reflected on past insecurities, revealing she once considered a breast reduction. 

Speaking to Glamour in 2023, she said: “When I was in high school, I used to feel uncomfortable about how big my b**bs were… My mum told me, ‘Don’t do it. You’ll regret it in college.’ And I’m so glad I didn’t. I like them. They’re my best friends.”

Sydney hopes her journey encourages other women to embrace their own bodies.
