Michelle Pfeiffer was joined by sisters Elle Fanning and Dakota Fanning at the 2026 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival as they celebrated the premiere of their highly anticipated new series Margo’s Got Money Troubles.
The trio stepped out together in Austin, Texas, drawing attention on the red carpet as they promoted the Apple TV+ comedy-drama. Pfeiffer stars alongside Elle Fanning in the upcoming show, while Dakota Fanning attended the event to support her sister and fellow cast members during the festival’s star-studded premiere night.
The series, created by television writer David E. Kelley and based on the novel by Rufi Thorpe, follows a young woman navigating financial struggles and unexpected motherhood. Elle Fanning plays the lead character, Margo, a college dropout who finds herself searching for unconventional ways to make ends meet while raising a baby.
Pfeiffer plays Margo’s mother in the show, forming a complex and emotional mother-daughter dynamic that has already generated buzz among festival audiences. The cast also includes Nick Offerman, Nicole Kidman, and Greg Kinnear, making it one of the most star-packed premieres at this year’s festival.
The project debuted at SXSW ahead of its global release on Apple TV+ on April 15, where it will premiere with its first three episodes before rolling out weekly installments.
With the glamorous red-carpet reunion of Pfeiffer and the Fanning sisters, the SXSW premiere offered fans an exciting first look at one of the festival’s most talked-about new television projects.
