The singer recently added his opinion on the stance of the Marty Supreme star, who said that “Opera and Ballet are dying art forms.”
The statement caused the lovers of the Opera and Ballet to come forward and stand against the boyfriend of Kylie Jenner.
Charlie, also being among the lovers, penned on X, “I feel compelled to say that even when an art form isn’t at the height of its popularity, traces of it still live on in the music and cinema that resonate with people today. “
He added, “The popular music we hear now simply wouldn’t exist without the popular music that came before it centuries ago.”
Now, the enraged online community and the supporters of Timothée have also stepped up as they bash celebrities who have been “twisting” his words.
One stated, “Okay nice , but what’s your point? This isn’t a response to Chalamet’s comments because he never said that ballet and opera never had an influence on cinema, so who’s it targeted towards? Genuinely curious. Or is this an attempt to twist his words like everyone else has?”
