Bella Hadid disclosed that the recent feature taught her how to loosen her grip on perfectionism.
On Thursday, the 29-year-old supermodel revealed in an interview in Vogue that she was filming The Beauty.
The body-horror was directed by Ryan Murphy in which she stars as a character, Ruby, an international model who gets caught up in a dark cosmetic drug plot.
"My comfort zone is when I'm in control, but I knew I had to get out of my comfort zone, let loose, and let go," she noted.
She went on to explain, "Being beautiful or perfect was the lowest thing on this list at the end of a day on set."
"That was a really big learning lesson for me. I will have that for the rest of my life," she recollected.
Earlier in January, at the premiere in New York, the Orebella founder told PEOPLE that her castmates Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos and Jeremy Pope were all a source of invaluable wisdom.
"They were able to just tell me a lot of words of wisdom and explain to me that even being crazy and weird is still positive."
The supermodel continued, "Sometimes things are embarrassing and at the end of the day, it's not embarrassing. We're all able to be different versions of ourselves."
In future the beauty mogul is interested in taking on a rom-com role or a part in a horse-related film aligned with her passion for riding, "If they do a live-action Spirit movie, sign me up, I'm ready to go."
The Beauty first aired January 21 on FX.
