Jennifer Runyon lost battle with cancer, co-star confirms

Jennifer Runyon, who played the role of Gwendolyn Pierce in the Charles in Charge, died on March 6 surrounded by her family, the family announced Sunday.

The American actress at the age of 65 has lost a short struggle with cancer, according to her friend, star of the TV series Bewitched, Erin Murphy. 

One of the spokespersons later admitted that she had been struggling with the disease that lasted six months.

Her former co-star, Scott Baio posted throwback photos on X with a poignant message.

Baio wrote that she was a good, kind and generous actress to deal with. Jennifer was my long-time girlfriend in 1984 five season situation comedy but was also an excellent mother and wife. 

Moreover, he shared, "We last saw each other at The Hollywood Christmas Parade in late 2019."

The daughter of Runyon, Bayley, who is also an actress, dedicated an emotional tribute, “All of the best parts of me came from you, I would give anything for one more day together.”

In addition to the sitcom, Runyon has been featured in Ghostbusters (1984) and in several episodes of A Very Brady Christmas, Quantum Leap and in an episode of  Murder, She marked in the caption.

In 2014, she semi-retired to teach and spend time with her family. She is survived by husband Todd Corman and two children.
