Christian Bale is putting rest to all hopes of musical comeback forever.
The 52-year-old star has responded to the suggestion made by one of the journalists that a scene in his future movie The Bride! resembled one of his breakout hits in 1992, Newsies.
The American Psycho artist told Buzzfeed that, he would never have associated the historical musical drama film with The Bride! marking it as hysterical.
However, the Oscar winner cliqued, "But wait, big difference. Newsies is a musical. This is not a musical.”
The English actor added, "This is something where it's just a ridiculously energetic expression, with possession.
The versatile star pointed out that his act in the scene is just a silly dance that is intimately connected with the plot, rather than a song-and-dance.
Moreover, he declared that he will ever step foot in a musical again in my life, adding, “Of course, never say never, but almost never say never on this one.”
Bale stars in Sci-fi/Romance feature by Maggie Gyllenhaal as the monster of Frankenstein, in which he is fully made-up in as much as six hours a day.
Notably, the American Gothic romance action flick opens in theatres and IMAX on March 6.
