Katy Perry, American singer-songwriter is beginning a tobacco-free life.

On March 6, the 41-year-old pop star shared a significant change in her lifestyle with the fans on her Instagram stories. 

She posted a photo of peppermint energy gum, she showed, "Quit all nicotine 2 months ago.”

She also said that she would highly recommend the more organic energy alternative as well.

This is not the first occasion that the Teenage Dream crooner has put her health first. 

She gave up smoking and drinking especially during her 2020 pregnancy of her daughter Daisy who is now five. 

She joked at the time to the Fifi, Fev and Bryon show in Australia, "“When you stop drinking and smoking and start creating a baby it's like your whole body is like, ‘Well, thanks for treating me nice for one day.’”

The Grammy nominee has a long history of dealing with substances. She has claimed that in 2010 she used hypnotherapy.

This was to help her quit cigarettes due to the stress of the wedding day. Several years later, she had signed a sobriety pact with ex fiancé Orlando Bloom.

Katy told People's Magazine in 2023 "For me, it was an opportunity to reset we reset after President's Day.

Moreover, she referred to it as "a great opportunity to just let my body bounce back a little bit."
