Daisy Edgar-Jones opened up about suffering from endometriosis during her teen years.
The Normal People star reflected on her time when she had extremely bad acne and painful periods.
In an interview with the Vogue’s Beauty Secrets, the Twisters star while applying her daily skincare and make-up routine, talked about her health.
She said it was a relief to be diagnosed with endometriosis when she was in her 20s, as it explained the symptoms she had been suffering.
Where the Crawdads Sing actress said, "I had extremely bad acne for most of my teenage years."
"I found out I was diagnosed when I was... I think I was 24," Edgar-Jones recalled. "For so long, I had such painful periods, and really, you know, volatile skin. I was definitely relieved to find out that was why I was going through it."
According to People magazine, Endometriosis is a debilitating condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows elsewhere — causing pelvic pain, heavy periods, and at times, infertility.
Sharing how she managed the acne that accompanied it, the 27-years-old artist said, "I've found over the years, like, skincare that really works for me."
She continued, "I also … drinking lots of water, and when I eat well, especially when I try and not eat as much dairy that really helps."
As of now Edgar-Jones is busy with Sense and Sensibility adaptation in which she is starring as Elinor Dashwood. The film is scheduled for September 2026.
