Harry Styles gets emotional after powerful realisation at Radiohead gig

Harry Styles has revealed a surprising moment of clarity that reminded him exactly why he keeps stepping back onto the stage.

Notably, it came while he was standing in the crowd at a Radiohead gig in Berlin.

The 32-year-old star said the experience of blending into the audience instead of performing in front of it completely changed his perspective.

As It Was singer explained that watching thousands of fans connect through music made him realise the deeper purpose behind his own shows.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, the pop superstar said he suddenly felt what it was like to be just another fan in the crowd.

“I went to see Radiohead in Berlin and felt totally part of the audience,” he shared.

But what struck him most wasn’t just the band on stage, it was the atmosphere around him. 

Harry noticed strangers helping each other, sharing drinks and belongings, and even comforting emotional fans during powerful moments in the music.

People who had never met were hugging, rubbing each other’s shoulders and screaming out the lyrics together as the songs reached their biggest moments.

The scene sparked a powerful realisation for the former One Direction star.

Watching the crowd unite through music made him realise that artists help create those unforgettable shared moments.

Night Changes hitmaker said it suddenly dawned on him that his job isn’t just to perform but it’s to provide the soundtrack for memories fans create together.

The reflection comes as the singer releases his fourth solo album Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally., and continues to open up about the emotional side of life on the road.
