Paul Mescal and Harris Dickinson have been spotted filming scenes in Liverpool for the upcoming Beatles biopic, offering fans a glimpse of the transformation into two of music’s most legendary figures, Paul McCartney and John Lennon.
The project, directed by Sam Mendes, is part of an ambitious cinematic event consisting of four interconnected films about 'The Beatles'.
Each movie will focus on one member of the iconic British band and their personal journey within the group.
According to Daily Mail, filming recently took place around Woolton in Liverpool, including outside Lennon’s childhood home on Menlove Avenue.
Moreover, streets were transformed to reflect the 1960s as crews recreated scenes from the band’s early days. Mescal was photographed cycling through the area with a guitar case, dressed in period costume to resemble a young McCartney.
The film series features a star-studded cast portraying the legendary “Fab Four.” Alongside Mescal and Dickinson, Barry Keoghan will play Ringo Starr, while Joseph Quinn takes on the role of George Harrison.
As per the outlet, first-look images of the actors in character were released earlier this year, sparking excitement among fans eager to see the band’s story brought to the big screen.
Furthermore, production on the four films is expected to continue through 2026, with the movies scheduled for a major theatrical release in April 2028.
