Priyanka Chopra candidly recounted on the actual moment of the wedding that helped her realise the seriousness of her new life.
Earlier, Nick Jonas shared his thoughts on reincarnation and his desire to see Priyanka in their "next life," as he made an appearance on the Josh Scherer show in July 2025.
The Bollywood star, who was the guest on Mythical Kitchen in its show Last Meals on March 3, discussed her views about the remarks.
Although their three days long wedding celebration included both the western and the Indian ceremony, it was the Roka ceremony that really shook her world.
Priyanka confessed that it had not occurred to her when he had slipped the ring on her finger.
However, by entering the Vedic ceremony everything was different. She experienced the transition with the four priests chanting and a sacred fire burning.
“I go from my mom to my husband. [I’m] choosing my family. So the gravity of that was not lost on either of us.”
The Quantico alum remembered the first time she had walked with Nick hand in hand, “I was like, ‘Oh, things are shifting. This is different.’”
The bond between them was so strong that during the ceremony, Nick bent down with one of the most beautiful observations of their Hindu wedding vows-a (seven lifetime) union.
“He said, ‘I feel like we are on our third or fourth lifetime,’” to which the star who critically acclaimed herself in two big industries replied, "Because it's so familiar. It feels like home."
Prianka, who has a decade age difference with Jonas and share daughter Malti with him could not help the punchline, as she noted, “How are you not gonna marry that man?”
