Hilary Duff has opened up about growing up in the spotlight, and revealed a shocking truth that she never got a proper education.
The 38-year-old singer and actress, who shot to fame as a teen star in Disney’s Lizzie McGuire, started working in TV and film from the age of 10.
But all those early acting gigs came at a cost.
Speaking on the Table Manners podcast with Jessie and Lennie Ware, Hilary confessed she received “zero education” and still doesn’t have her GED.
“I feel like I educated myself on my own of different things I was interested in,” she explained.
“I love to read… I really enjoy reading, even if I don’t have as much time as I would like.”
When asked whether she’d ever consider returning to school, she laughed it off.
The Younger star shrugged off worries about her unconventional schooling, insisting she’d built strengths in other areas.
“I’m not afraid to ask questions when I don’t know something,” she admitted.
“After all, there’s always Google… or ChatGPT.”
A Cinderella Story actress, who is mum to Luca, 13, from her marriage to Mike Comrie, and Banks, seven, Mae, four, and 22-month-old Townes with husband Matthew Koma, also admitted she’s been learning from her own children.
Hilary insists she’s content with her unconventional schooling but is determined her children get a better education than she did.
