Annabel Schofield, the Welsh supermodel and the star of the legendary primetime soap Dallas, has passed away at 62.

The actress, Laurel Ellis, of the popular show died in Los Angeles on February 28  following her 3-year battle with cancer.

In July, she had found that the disease had spread to her brain. Before achieving fame, Schofield appeared on the covers of Vogue.

The prominent 1970s beauty mogul had even been used in Yves Saint Laurent campaigns.

She was launched in Hollywood by a breakout Bugle Boy Jeans commercial that landed her Dallas role.

Schofield shared her illness experience on GoFundMe. Her last contact was on January 18, when she had a major mass of her nasal cavity removed by surgery.

She had noted that she was feeling pretty wobbly and weak; however, she was glad to be able to breathe through her nose.

Condolences emerged from close pals. Melissa Richardson, founder of Take Two Agency, who represented Schofield at the start, recalled, “She never changed from the sweet little 17-year-old Welsh girl I first met.”

Richardson added, “She was directly loyal, caring, and above all, a raging beauty. She knew her craft. She was the best.”

The quiet strength and timeless beauty are the legacy of the actress who was also featured in The Protector.
