Hailey Bieber reflects on 'scary' health condition before pregnancy

Hailey Bieber has opened up about a startling medical condition she discovered before becoming pregnant with her son, Jack Blues, revealing that it significantly increased the chance of miscarriage and other complications. 

During a recent appearance on the SHE MD podcast, the 29-year-old said she was diagnosed with a uterine septum, a congenital abnormality in which a wall of tissue divides the uterus, a condition known to raise miscarriage risk and other pregnancy issues.

According to Hailey’s obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi, Bieber’s condition was moderate in severity, meaning she faced a 25 %–40 % risk of miscarriage and a 10 %–20 % chance of delivering early without medical intervention.

As per People's claims, the television host and mother said her pregnancy came as a “surprise,” but despite initial concerns surrounding the uterine septum, her body responded well through the stages of gestation. 

Moreover, Hailey emphasized that her positive mindset, along with careful medical monitoring, contributed to a successful outcome.

As per the outlet, Hailey’s candid discussion aims to raise awareness about lesser-known reproductive health issues that can have serious emotional and physical impacts on those trying to conceive. 

Furthermore, she also expressed gratitude for her medical team and support from her husband, singer Justin Bieber, as she navigated the challenging journey toward motherhood.
