Savannah Guthrie and her family have increased the reward to $1 million for information that could help locate her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, in an emotional new appeal shared on social media Tuesday.
Nancy was last seen at her home in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson, Arizona, on January 31 and was reported missing the next day when she failed to attend scheduled activities.
It is worth mentioning that the authorities believe she may have been taken against her will.
In a video posted to Instagram, Savannah Guthrie acknowledged that her mother “may already be gone” but stressed the family’s need for answers.
“We need her to come home,” she said, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
According to People, the expanded reward combines the family’s offer with ongoing incentives from law enforcement, including an FBI reward of up to $100,000.
Investigators have released surveillance images of a masked individual at Nancy’s home and continue to pursue leads as the search enters its fourth week.
Moreover, Nancy Guthrie is considered vulnerable due to her age and medical needs, including daily medication and a pacemaker.
As per the outlet, authorities have asked anyone with information to contact the FBI or local law enforcement.
