Sinitta opens up after past romance with Simon Cowell

Sinitta, known for her 1980s hit So Macho, has addressed her past marriage and long-standing personal connection to music executive Simon Cowell in a revealing interview. 

Speaking about her life experiences, Sinitta acknowledged that her marriage to her ex-husband was, at times, influenced by her feelings toward Cowell, with whom she shared a decades-long on-off relationship before they became close friends.

According to Daily Mail, Sinitta, who has navigated the pressures of the entertainment industry since the 1980s, also spoke openly about her personal challenges, including past struggles with self-harm during difficult periods of her life. 

Moreover, these admissions come as part of her broader reflections on relationships, self-worth and mental health.

Despite past romantic ties, Sinitta said she and Cowell have remained close over the years. 

As per the outlet, the pair, who first dated in the early 1980s, have maintained a supportive friendship, and she has publicly expressed respect for Cowell’s current life with his partner, Lauren Silverman. 

Furthermore, Cowell and Silverman, who share a son and a long-term partnership, have been a subject of public attention, and Sinitta has previously joked about their relationship in media appearances.
