Loved ones of the late wildlife expert and TV personality Steve Irwin commemorated what would have been his 64th birthday over the weekend with heartfelt tributes and rare family photos shared on social media.

Irwin, who captured the world’s attention with his fearless approach to animals and infectious passion for conservation, passed away in 2006 at age 44 after a tragic stingray injury while filming in Australia.

His wife, Terri Irwin, and their children, Bindi and Robert, honored his memory by posting a series of images featuring Irwin in both iconic and intimate moments.

One photo showed the family together, smiling amid lush greenery, while others highlighted his close interactions with wildlife, reflecting the adventurous life he led.

Alongside the images, Terri shared a deeply personal message about her husband’s enduring impact on their family and the world of conservation.

According to People, fans around the globe responded warmly to the tributes, reposting images and sharing stories of how Irwin inspired their love of animals and the natural world.

Many noted that his legacy lives on through the ongoing work of the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors, the conservation organization he founded with Terri, which continues to protect endangered species and habitats.

Moreover, Bindi and Robert, both involved in wildlife advocacy and media like their father, also posted memories and voiced gratitude for the outpouring of support.
