Kristen Bell is gearing up to join the cast of Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
The Nobody Wants This actress will play Amy Rose, the pink creature who has a major crush on the titular blue character.
Ben Schwartz, who is voice of Sonic in the live-action/CGI hybrid film series, announced the news via his Instagram account.
He wrote in the caption, "WE HAVE OUR AMY ROSE!!! And I could not be more excited!!! Please welcome the incredible @kristenanniebell to the @sonicmovie family!!!"
Plot details for the fourth film are under wraps.
However, as per Variety, Metal Sonic, an intelligence robot with a dark side who appeared with Amy Rose appeared in the mid-credits scene of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, will also appear in the upcoming movie, though a voice actor hasn’t been revealed.
The rest of the cast includes, James Marsden as Tom Wachowski, Jim Carrey as antagonist Dr.Robotnik, Tika Sumpter as Maddie Wachowski, Idris Elba as Knuckles and Keanu Reeves as Shadow.
Jeff Fowler has directed all three Sonic the Hedgehog films which have collectively grossed $1 billion at the global box office.
The fourth instalment is slated to be released on March 2027.
